Creator Agreement

Summary

Contributors ("Creators") keep ownership of what they write. By submitting, you give us a license to publish and promote it, you confirm it is your original work, and you disclose any conflicts of interest and any significant use of AI. We edit everything we publish.

1. Who this applies to

This Creator Agreement ("Agreement") is between CorporateLegal.tech LLC, a Missouri limited liability company ("CorporateLegal.tech", "we", "us"), and you, the individual who submits an article, template, image or other content ("Content"). If you write on behalf of your employer, you confirm that you are authorized to agree to this for them. By submitting Content, you accept this Agreement and our Terms of Use.

2. Originality

You confirm that your Content:

• is your original work, or you have permission to use every part of it;
• has not been published elsewhere in substantially the same form, unless you told us and we agreed;
• does not infringe anyone's copyright, trademark, privacy or other rights; and
• is accurate to the best of your knowledge, including any data, statistics and quotes, with sources cited where appropriate.

3. What you must not include

• Confidential information, trade secrets or anything covered by a non-disclosure agreement.
• Client or employer information, privileged material, or details that could identify a client or matter, unless it is public and you have permission.
• Defamatory, discriminatory or unlawful material.
• Undisclosed promotion of a Company or Product.

4. Ownership and license

• You keep ownership of the copyright in your Content.
• You grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free, perpetual license to host, reproduce, edit, adapt, translate, publish, distribute and promote your Content on our Site, newsletter, webinars and social channels, and to sublicense these rights to our service providers so they can deliver them.
• You may republish your Content elsewhere after it appears on our Site, as long as you credit the original: "First published on CorporateLegal.tech".

5. Attribution and your profile

We will credit you as the author. You agree that we may display your name, job title, company, biography, headshot and social links with your Content. Please tell us if any of these change. If we make substantial editorial changes, we will ask you to approve them before publication.

6. Editing and publication

• We may edit Content for clarity, length, style, accuracy, legal risk and search optimization.
• We may add internal links, including links to directory listings.
• Submitting Content does not guarantee we will publish it.
• We may update, correct or remove published Content at our discretion, for example under our Corrections Policy. If you want your Content removed, email us and we will consider your request in good faith.

7. Conflicts of interest

You must tell us, in writing and before publication, about any financial or professional relationship with a Company, Product or Sponsor that your Content mentions. Examples include employment, consulting, investment, partnership or payment. We will add a clear disclosure to the article, as required by the US Federal Trade Commission's Endorsement Guides. Content that promotes your own employer's Product must say so at the top.

8. Use of AI

You may use AI tools to help with research, outlining or editing. You must:

• tell us if AI generated a significant part of the text or any images;
• check every fact, quote, citation and statistic yourself; and
• not submit AI-generated images of real people, or content that imitates another author's work.

9. No compensation

Unless we agree otherwise in writing, contributions are voluntary and unpaid. You may not pay us, or accept payment from a Company, to publish Content on our Site without our written agreement and clear labelling as sponsored.

10. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless CorporateLegal.tech LLC and its members, officers and agents from claims, losses and reasonable legal fees arising from a breach of this Agreement, including any claim that your Content infringes someone's rights or is defamatory.

11. General

The disclaimers, limitation of liability, governing law (Missouri) and venue (Christian County, Missouri) in our Terms of Use apply to this Agreement. We may update this Agreement for future submissions by posting a new version here.
