Summary

We want to get things right. If we get something wrong, tell us and we will fix it openly.

How to report an error

Email hello@corporatelegal.tech with "Correction" in the subject line. Please include:

  • the page or newsletter issue;
  • what is wrong; and
  • a source that shows the correct information, if you have one.

Companies reporting errors in their own listing can also email products@corporatelegal.tech.

What we do

  • We review every report, usually within five business days.
  • If we confirm an error of fact, we correct it promptly.
  • If the claim is a matter of opinion or interpretation, we may decline to change it and will tell you why.

How we note corrections

  • Articles: we add a note at the end, for example: "Correction, [date]: An earlier version of this article said X. It is Y."
  • Minor fixes: we fix typos, broken links and formatting without a note.
  • Updates: when we add new information to keep an article current, we note "Updated [date]" and what changed.
  • Newsletter: we do not re-send issues, but we correct the archived version on our Site and, for significant errors, include a correction in the next issue.
  • Directory listings: we update listings directly. Listings describe current facts, so we do not keep a public change log for them.

Sponsors

Sponsors use the same process as everyone else. We correct factual errors in any Company's listing, whether or not it is a Sponsor, but we do not adopt marketing language. See our Advertising, Sponsorship & Editorial Independence Policy.

Removal requests

We do not remove accurate published content just because someone asks. We will consider removal where content is unlawful, infringes rights, creates a safety risk, or where a contributor asks us to remove their own article.
