Privacy Policy

1. Transparency & Our Model
At CorporateLegal.tech LLC, we are a directory and content platform for the legal technology industry. Our platform is funded through sponsorships, where vendors pay a fee for featured placement and branding. We are committed to transparency: sponsorship status does not equate to an editorial endorsement. We do not sell your personal information to third-party data brokers.

2. Information We Collect
We collect personal information in two primary ways:

Directory Inquiries: When you request an introduction via a "Request Intro" form, we collect your name, job title, company name, email address, phone number, and message content.

Contributor Profiles: If you contribute a blog post, we collect and publicly display your name, professional biography, headshot, and social media links as provided by you. By submitting a blog post, you authorize the public display of this profile information.

Usage Data: Standard analytics (IP address, browser type, navigation patterns) are used to optimize site performance.

3. Our Manual Data Flow
We employ a human-moderated process. When you request an introduction, your data is reviewed by a human moderator at CorporateLegal.tech LLC before being forwarded to the chosen vendor via their preferred communication channel. By requesting an introduction, you explicitly consent to this transfer of your data to the selected vendor. Once the transfer is complete, the vendor’s own privacy practices will govern the use of your data.

4. Sub-processors
To operate our business, we use the following trusted third-party service providers ("sub-processors"). These entities are contractually obligated to protect your data according to industry standards:

Webflow: Used for website hosting, content management, and form submissions.

Microsoft 365: Used for internal business operations, moderator communications, and secure email storage.

HubSpot: Used for CRM and lead management, including the organization of inquiry data and newsletter distribution.

5. Data Retention Policy
We practice data minimization. We will retain your lead inquiry data for two years from the date of your last interaction. If your inquiry remains active through subsequent communications or updates during this window, the retention period resets. After two years of inactivity, your data will be securely purged from our systems, unless we have a legal obligation to retain it for tax or regulatory record-keeping.

6. Data Breach Procedures
In the unlikely event of a personal data breach, CorporateLegal.tech LLC is committed to the following:

Assessment: We will immediately investigate the scope and impact of the breach.

Notification: We will notify affected users and relevant data protection authorities without undue delay, as required by applicable law (such as the GDPR or state-specific breach notification statutes).

Mitigation: We will take immediate steps to secure our systems, address vulnerabilities, and prevent further unauthorized access.

7. Your Rights (Including GDPR & CCPA)
Whether you are a resident of California (under CCPA/CPRA) or the EU/UK (under GDPR), you have specific rights regarding your personal information:

Right to Know: You can request a summary of the personal information we hold about you.

Right to Deletion: You can request that we delete your data at any time.

Right to Correction: You can request that we update or correct inaccurate data.

Right to Opt-Out: You can withdraw your consent for us to process your data for newsletter distribution or vendor introductions.

To exercise these rights, please contact our Data Privacy lead at hello@corporatelegal.tech. We will fulfill valid requests within the legally mandated timeframes (typically 30 days).

8. International Traffic & Security
While our services are primarily targeted at US-based users, our site is globally accessible. We process data according to the principles of "privacy by design." If you are an EU/UK resident, we rely on your explicit consent (provided at the point of inquiry via a checkbox) to transfer your data to your requested vendor. We use industry-standard technical measures to protect your data, ensuring only authorized personnel have access to your submitted inquiry forms.

9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy periodically to reflect changes in our business practices. The "Last Updated" date at the top of this document will reflect the most recent version.
